In late June 2025, I visited five Southeast Asian countries, which are Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. The first two days, I went sightseeing in Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang, Vietnam, then traveled around Siem Reap, Cambodia, on the third day. And then, on the fourth day, I went on a trip around Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya in Thailand in the morning. After traveling around Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, I took the bus to Bangkok, which probably took about 1 or 2 hours. And this blog is about the trip around Bangkok, not Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. I’ve already written a blog about it. Here is the link for it.
As for transportation in Bangkok, I highly recommend Grab, which is a taxi booking app. You can pay for the taxi fare by credit card instead of cash. Also, since payment is made within the Grab app, there is no need to negotiate with the driver or pay the driver directly.
Main tourist spots in Bangkok, where I visited
Bangkok is a really big city, which has many skyscrapers, but there are many cultural and historical buildings at the same time. Also, any of them is massive scale and magnificent. If you go there, you’re definitely sure to be moved by them.
Below is the Google Maps of the places I visited in Thailand(Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya spots are also included).
1. The Temples
I visited some temples, but those are concentrated in a specific area. So, here is the list of them.
- The Temple of the Emerald Buddha
- Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan
- Bangkok City Pillar Shrine
- The Grand Palace
The paintings spread out throughout the walls were really marvelous.

As you can see, the buildings are enormous, and the decorations are also so luxurious.

Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, or Wat Pho, is a first-class royal temple and an ancient temple, where monks study Dharma. And, it is also considered the first university in Thailand.

Those temples have massive grounds, so if you visit them, you’ll definitely end up walking a lot, but there are many beautiful trees, flowers, amazing statues, and buildings, stuff like that, so you can definitely enjoy them, and it’s worth visiting and spending some time exploring.

The temples listed above are located in the vicinity of the map below.
2. View Point(Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan)
I wanted to go to Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, but I could not make it there due to time constraints. However, I was able to see the beautiful temple illuminated at night across the river.

You can see the temple from the viewpoint.
3. THE SIXTH 6th
I had dinner at the restaurant called the Sixth, and I can not remember the name of the food I had, but the dishes here were really good. And the staff here were also very friendly and kind. You know the dishes in Thailand are quite spicy, and I was worried about how spicy it is, but I liked them.
I think this dish is fried rice with shrimp and stuff like that. Of course, it was really good.

This one is spicy noodles. It had a variety of spicy flavors, so it tasted deep, complex, and rich.

The food on the menu here is really reasonable, so if you go to Bangkok, I recommend this restaurant.
